The Bar Standards Board announces the appointment of a new Chair and lay members of the Independent Appointments Panel. The new Chair is Stephen Redmond. The two new members are Jacqui Francis and Bronwen Curtis CBE. 

Unregistered barrister Tiyani Behanzin suspended for failing to cooperate with the regulator

An independent disciplinary tribunal has ordered Tiyani Behanzin, an unregistered barrister, to be suspended for a minimum of 12 months until he pays outstanding financial orders. As a result, he is not entitled to hold a practising certificate in this period.
