Offence details:

Mujibir Ibrahim, an unregistered barrister, engaged in conduct which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in the profession, in that, on 23 October 2015, he was convicted by the Crown Court in Leicester (upon pleading guilty) of two counts of theft, contrary to section 1 of the Theft Act 1968, of cash and gold bars from the Leicestershire Police and for which, on 28 October 2015, he was sentenced to four years imprisonment and ordered to pay (i) compensation to Leicestershire Police of ?40,000, (ii) a victim surcharge of ?120 (iii) a deprivation order of ?113,610 and (iv) costs of ?900.

Mujibir Ibrahim, an unregistered barrister, failed to report promptly to the Bar Standards Board, contrary to rC65.1 of the BSB Handbook (2nd Edition) that, on or about 29 September 2015, he had been charged with an indictable offence, namely theft under section 1 of the Theft Act 1968
