Samuel Owusu-Afriyie failed to comply in due time with a direction made by an Adjudication Panel on 10 October 2006 that he pay ?1,000 to L by way of compensation for inadequate professional service.

Samuel Owusu-Afriyie failed to respond promptly to requests from the Bar Council in letters dated 19 March 2007, 12 June 2007, and 25 June 2007, for comments or information on his apparent failure to comply with an order made by an Adjudication Panel on 10 October 2006 that he pay compensation of ?1,000 to L such failure being, by virtue of its repetition and combination with another failure to comply with the Code (being the failure which is the subject of Charge 1), so serious as to be likely to bring the Bar into disrepute.
