Julie Burns in or about 1992, obtained property by deception on six separate occasions, for which conduct she was, on 6 April 1992 convicted at Hereford Crown Court and sentenced to 2 years? imprisonment. This conduct was dishonest and discreditable to a barrister.
Julie Burns failed to report to the Bar Council that she had been convicted on 6 April 1992 of a criminal offence such failure being contrary to paragraph 801(b) of the Code of Conduct. Such criminal offence being obtained by deception, contrary to Section 15 of the Theft Act 1968.
