Do you have views about the way barristers should train?

On 3 October, we launched our second consultation on the future of training for the Bar. As part of our Future Bar Training Programme, we have developed three possible approaches to better enable students of Bar training to meet the requirements of the Professional Statement. We have set out the details of each of these approaches in our consultation which can be found on our website.

We will be hosting events across the country for barristers and students to give you the opportunity to have your say on the future of Bar training. We will be visiting:

  • London: 25 October 2016 (City University London)
  • Manchester: 27 October 2016 (Manchester Metropolitan University)
  • Newcastle: 1 November 2016 (University of Northumbria)
  • Leeds: 2 November 2016 (BPP University Law School)
  • Nottingham: 9 November 2016 (Nottingham Trent University)
  • Birmingham: 10 November 2016 (University of Law Birmingham)
  • Cardiff: 16 November 2016 (Cardiff University)
  • Bristol: 17 November 2016 (Bristol Law Society)

To register your interest, please email futurebartraining@barstandardsboard.org.uk stating the event you would like to attend and any dietary and/or accessibility requirements.
