Changes to the BSB Handbook – February 2018

Following a consultation in 2017, we plan to make a number of changes to the BSB Handbook in February 2018. This includes changes relating to the information provided during the annual Authorisation to Practise (AtP) exercise. These will:

  • require you to provide information on your practice areas, including any public access work, and the percentage of income you derive from each area;
  • ensure compliance with new anti-money laundering regulations;
  • oblige those of you who work in the Youth Courts to register the fact with us; and
  • make it compulsory for you to provide a unique email address.

At the same time, we plan to introduce a number of changes to streamline the Public and Licensed Access Schemes.
