The Bar Course Aptitude Test (BCAT) will reopen on 12 May 2022. The BCAT remains a requirement for entry onto a Bar training course though this requirement is currently under review while the Board seeks approval from the LSB to discontinue the Test, as noted in our Press Release of 1 April 2022. Candidates intending to commence a course in July should book their test as soon as possible but those starting in September are advised to await the outcome of our application to the LSB. The BCAT is available online as well as in test centres. The Test will remain open until the LSB has made its decision.
