Further to the statement which we issued on 12 August 2024, we have received information from the British Council in Bangladesh that it has not re-opened on 14 August as planned. As the situation currently stands, we cannot be sure that venues holding the centralised exams on Monday 19, Wednesday 21 and Friday 23 August in both Dhaka and Chittagong will be able to re-open and, as such, these examinations in Bangladesh are now cancelled.
Students will have the opportunity to sit in December.
We appreciate that this is disappointing for the students, but the safety of students and all those involved in running the examinations is of paramount importance.
We also want to provide certainty to students who are affected. Students who are affected should contact their course providers through the usual channels, where possible, if they have any questions.
